So i am going to be talking about how immigration is the same in the 2 texts and how they are different in the 2 texts. They are similar because they both have something to do with immigration. In both of the texts they say that, “Your mother and I have decided …” Papá walked over and put his arm on Mamá’s shoulder. She sat frozen in place. “We’ve made plans for you to leave Cuba … tomorrow.” So basically they are getting sent to the US from Cuba and are leaving their home place. That was for the “Red Umbrella”. For “The Band-Aid For 800 Children” it says, ““Okay, yes. I can do this,” she says, and soon she is in her minivan, sorting through a notebook that contains her to-do list for the day. She has to prepare lunch for 120 children, deliver school supplies to 13 others, drop five off at schools across greater Miami, help find housing for three, take two to doctor appointments, one to a psychologist and one to visit a parent detained for immigration violations”. After reading both of the texts they both have a similar way in helping each other the parents are helping their kids or children they both are helping someone in both texts. This shows the evidence in the introduction by telling you that someone is getting helped and someone is getting cared for in both texts and with my evidence it shows you that someone is getting helped in
