The Relatability of “The Prodigal Son”
The parable “The Prodigal Son” attributed to Saint Luke, although from long ago, can be very relatable in modern times especially when it comes to the three main characters and the theme, which is thought to be universal. The three main characters are often seen as closely relatable because of each of their actions throughout the story. The father is a forgiver, which everyone has been at some point in their lifetime; “How could we help celebrating this happy day? Your brother here was dead and has come back to life,” (85).
