Health promotions are identified in general as the participation of the individuals and their families with their care delivery. During our career we learned about many types of nursing roles to practice the nursing with its all aspect starting from the assessment ending by the evaluation as a circle that continue to improve from the beginning of the nursing profession with Nightingale to today. The focus was to teach the individual as well as the ways to live healthy and change the life style that needed to be changed and adapt a new healthier life style. Health promotion is defined by the World Health Organization's (WHO) 2005 Bangkok Charter as "the process of enabling people to increase control over their health and its determinants, and thereby improve their health." (WHO) 2005 Bangkok. What that mean is we need to adapt new policies to address the issues and reasons behind our inability to start and maintain a healthier life style and change the existing life style that we have currently. With that being addressed we have to address the reason behind the inability which could be one of many reasons such as income, job security including the working condition, housing and food as well as many other conditions that affect our willingness as well as our ability to start the change and maintain it. In general the health promotion is an empowering tool to give individuals control over their lives. It is not just health care it is the power that we give to individuals to have a say in their life and health by educating them on preventions through early detection and/or screening and educating them with the diagnosis and the prognosis of their disease if it is already diagnosed and exist; with this education comes the education about their rights and the laws that were put in place to improve the life style and promote a healthy one. The purpose of health promotion in nursing is to help in disease prevention as well as health promotion in the life of an individual as well as the community in general. The focus on disease prevention that was recently became important and many people start to shed light to the importance of prevention, education and the studies that showed the importance of it as a step in health promotion as a very good tool to the wellbeing of our community and to keep them in a good health and educate them on ways to avoid risks and risky behaviors and practices. It addresses the whole aspect from the mental part, to the physical and social wellbeing by enabling individuals to take control over their life either passively or actively the role will be determent by the individual personality and the ways he/she view his/her decisions as well as their ability to either change it themselves or receive advices and suggestions from others. The nursing roles and responsibilities in health promotion plays an important part by improving communication and collaboration among health care workers to achieve the best results by creating a link between hospitals and the individuals in the community. There is a research was done to evaluate health promotion activities of the nurses who respond to codes, work in the ER and able to assess a patient who is having a stroke or who is going to have one, as this is one of the most important step in getting the right treatment as fast as possible to achieve the best result; which is surviving a stroke. Nurse’s involvement and attitude towards this situation as well as others showed that nurses strive to promote supportive environment, reorienting the other health workers involved in the patient’s care and building healthy policies to facilitate the correct response in a timely
