In “Our Country”. Josiah Strong describes the world being conquered by Anglo-Saxon people but explains how the United states will rise to dominate and out number them. Josiah believes that strong traits like wealth, large liberty, civilization, and true Christian hearts well assist the U.S. poor over the whole world. “This powerful race will move down upon Mexico, down upon Central and South America, out upon the islands of the sea, over upon Africa and beyond” (Voices of Freedom pg. 668).
