On May 10, 2018, we went to Skin Canvas Tattoo Studio located at 130 N 2nd St, Porterville CA, 93257. We spoke to a Tattoo artist to ask them a few questions about the chemicals used in the tattoo shop and how the tattoos relate to chemistry. We called and set up an appointment on May 9, 2017 and explained the purpose of the project. They answered all the questions and taught us many interesting facts about the tattoo procedure and the chemicals used in the tattoo shop.
A tattoo is a minor surgery procedure where permanent ink of many pigments is inserted into the first layer of skin. A tattoo can be symbolic, pictorial, or simply just decorative. We chose to do our chemistry project on tattoos because we are interested in getting tattoos
