My father, Brendan Joseph Lynch, was born into a devout Catholic family on January 11, 1964. Both of Irish descent, my grandfather and grandmother were determined to achieve success and prosper in the United States, while nourishing my father and his three siblings simultaneously. To be wholly honest, life was hard for my dad’s family! My grandfather worked several jobs to put food on the table and struggled to make ends meet. However, in those desperate times, my grandparents laid their trust in God and understood that everything was going to be just fine. When I asked my dad to be interviewed for this assignment, he was more than willing to provide his perspective on the role of faith in his life, as well as memorable religious experiences.
