The Scarlet Letter has affected Pynne by shaming her doings when she is seen. This got so out of hand that she secluded herself in the woods near the town with her daughter Pearl. To this point she is so ashamed that she couldn't stand living inside the town near massachusetts due to the pure harassment from the towns people. The townspeople soon wouldn’t let her though the market or town at this point because of the amount of shame her actions have inclined on her. With this people would gather around her and start to harass her in public streets calling her “a sin to this town!” by the towns residence. The parents of children would even use her as an example of what not to be and/or do when becoming an adult. This didnt’’ affect her from raising her daughter Pearl. …show more content…
This meant Pearl wasn’t a normal child ,she was always near her mother because she wasn’t able to go into town without being called out or being sent back to her mother.Along with this she never fully understood why her mother and her were outcasts to the town. Then again Pearl only knew her mother because of the scarlet letter and at the end of the book when Hester took the scarlet letter off, Pearl didn’t recognize her with these features she has never shown.Afterwards Pearl had run off and was never found some say she either died or went off to a distant land.Although she might have run off by herself Hester Couldn’t run from her
