There are some people, especially those who have been hurt, traumatized, or disillusioned by negative experiences within a particular religious orientation, who lean towards the conclusion that religion is the topmost cause of war. Although this conclusion can seem to have valid foundations from a historical and anthropological perspective, this conclusion is a sweeping generalization and as such, allows much room for propaganda and misguided perceptions about what truly matters in each person's life each moment.
It is in this light that I have chosen to write about religion and war from both cosmic and personal perspectives, in alignment with the values of The Seraphim Project 2012-2027.
Despite the influence of organized religion on society, the fact remains that the faith dimension of the human experience is highly individualized. Essentially, each individual's 'true' religion is what s/he does everyday.
War arises from a misunderstanding and/or basic fear of the Divine Idea called 'Diversity'. It is likewise a misunderstanding and/or basic fear of the unexplored landscapes and perspectives within ourselves. Even war has served Humanity in its unfoldment. After many, many centuries of the gradual rise in consciousness, Humanity, as a collective, is beginning to gain clarity, enlightened states, and an intuitive understanding of the paradox and enigma of Oneness expressed through different perspectives. We are now in a better position to embrace the Harmony within the Diversity of our creation and existence.
All major religions contain in them the seeds of Cosmic-Universal Truth, and to find the golden thread that connects all faiths and perspectives allows for seeing things as they truly are: Religion, per se, is not necessarily the cause of war... It is rather the fear in the hearts and minds of people and the illusions of separation that invariably pave the way to warfare. When we ease out of this fear, war will not make sense anymore.
This is what The Seraphim Project 2012-2027 upholds -- the raising of consciousness above fear and illusions of separation. All faiths, traditions, religions, including those holding no particular faith, are but the expressions of the Divine filtered through the Human experience, each faith being as valuable as the others, and making up a vital piece of the entire puzzle of Humanity's quest for living 'Heaven on Earth'.
It is important to be very discerning and respectful of one another's orientation. It may be wise, especially at this time when we are bathing in higher cosmic energies, to avoid giving in to propaganda. Giving in to propaganda is similar to giving our power away to be used to fuel the intentions of a few temporarily disgruntled souls. We need to become more open-minded and receptive of Universal messages and let the heart communicate the truth of each moment and aspect of creation.
