With the current climate in America it’s easy to become desensitized to the atrocities of the world around us. Getting desensitized however does not allow for one to simply forget or no longer care for certain topics. When I first saw the video of Eric Garner an unarmed black men being suffocated to death by law enforcement I didn't know what to feel besides grief and disgust. Was it really possible for law enforcement to do this to a man in broad daylight and get away with it? The answer to this question is yes because the officer who held this man in a chokehold till he died was not charged. Seeing this story and many others arise in the current state of our country caused me to envelop myself in this matter. Where I was raised allowed
