Henry Knox was born July 25, 1750 in Boston Massacheutts. He was Major General under George Washington. Some of his most memorable battles was the battle of Germantown and Valley Forge. In 1777, Knox pushed back the British at the battle Brandywine. Due to his successes, he rose through the ranks quickly. Knox was responsible for the Patriot’s first victory. This happened by pushing the British out of Boston. Major General Knox during an altercation moved artillery 300 miles during the day of the winter using sleds to move artillery by oxen.
