Imagine a world where people have no freedoms and everything they did was watched and closely monitored. How would you feel? Would you rebel? Some characteristics of a dystopian society is that information, independent thought, and freedoms are usually restricted, citizens are under constant surveillance, citizens conform to uniform expectations and individuality and dissent are bad. All of these characteristics are shown in the stories, The Survivor, 1984, and Harrison Bergeron.
