After I read the Article “The Three Sisters, Avenged: A Dominican Drama” by Larry Rother. I realized how important where the Mirabal Sisters in the Dominican Republic. After their death the majority of the people in Dominican Republic were indignant. The assassination of the Mirabal Sisters had greater effect on Dominicans than most of Trujillo's other crimes, because they were the ones that stand and speak up for the entire country. In the article the Mirabal sisters are describes as they were described in the book “In the Time of the Butterflies” by Julia Alvarez. The Mirabal sister were described as powerful women who were against Trujillo’s government. After Trujillo send man to kill the Mirabal sister he thought that nobody where able
