Description of Company

The company I chose for this exercise is a bar that I am planning to open in my local neighborhood. The bar will provide patrons a safe place to where politics, religion, sports, and many other topics can be discussed over high quality spirits and delicious food from our world class food services. The bar will have the theme of the local industry of timber and fish and game. The bar will attract customers with the age range of 25-34 and a median income of $35,000.00 a year or more.

Roles and Behaviors
Entrepreneurs

The entrepreneur in this business will be myself. I will control all assets financially as well as the operations that continue the mission of providing high quality spirits and delicious food to local guests. I plan to achieve this dream through proper education, financial planning, and licensing of this business. I also plan to monitor all product arriving and being sold at this business. My reasoning is that I want to provide a high quality product at a value for our guests. I want to make the guests feel that they can have a great time without emptying their wallets and leaving discouraged. By providing a value for my customers, I plan to gain the “upper-hand” in competition for the market.

Managers As an entrepreneur, I understand that I must appoint an individual that can closely monitor the quality and presentation of the staff as well as the products we will sell. I will be appointing a manager that has at least 2 or more successful and experienced years in the hospitality industry. The manager that I will be appointing must also have a previous college background in Business or Business Administration. That is so they know first-hand what our company expectations are and to delegate that mission to all employees.
