I have seen families where parents rely on modern devices and technology to keep their families entertained. This can decrease the amount of face-to-face interactions and quality time. Technology can hurt family ties because of the lack of time spent together. In “The Veldt” a physicist comes and talks about how he thinks the nursery has replaced the responsibilities of the parents. You’ve let this room and this house replace you and your wife in your children’s affections. This room is their mother and father, far more important in their lives than their real parents"(Radbury). This quote illustrates how the parents have let the nursery distance their kids from them. Through all the crazy installments the parents added to the room to make their lives easier, it ultimately saves the kids from them. Although some may suggest that technology can help foster parental bonds, as a whole technology can distance kids from their
