Everyone lies for all sorts of reasons. Lying is a gray area, because there are little white lies to spare the feelings of another, or there are “Out-and-Out lies” (bald-faced lies) which are total complete lies. Stephanie Ericsson gives ten examples of the ways we lie in her paper called, The Ways We Lie. There is one association that “lies” a lot in their profession. Lawyers, although are not allowed to lie legally, however they lie a lot. There are probably a handful of lawyers who lie through their teeth to either win their cases, protect themselves, or protect their clients, etc. Fletcher Reede is a fictional lawyer played by Jim Carry in the movie Liar Liar. Max wished for his father to not be able to tell a lie for a day. Just like that, after a night of fornication between Fletcher and his boss after she asked him if it was pleasurable for him, he immediately told her that he had better, when usually he would have told her a white lie.
