Caesar fought in multiple battles risking his life in order to receive fame and glory. His reputation for constantly sacrificing his life for Rome was one of the reasons why he was loved by the people. Caesar also knew that he was being a threat for assassination with the constant alerts by the people that he was a target. Caesar ignored the warnings and proceeded to continue what he was doing. Another reason why Caesar was assassinated was because of his pride. Caesar believed that he was as “constant as the Northern Star, / Of whose true fixed and resting quality / There is no fellow in the firmament.” (Shakespeare 3. 1. 64-68).
