Describe how Bradbury builds suspense in his short stories (or your selected novel). In The Veldt it using foreshadowing in a way to keep the reader interested. At the start of the story you can feel or tell like there might be something off,but later on in the story it gives you a little sight on what might happen. When it starts off with George saying ‘What is wrong with it’,he doesn’t quite understand what is happening at that moment but is shows that something is wrong with the nursery. It shows that something might happen to the parents later on,but you have no clue what will happen. So at the very it draws you in on the first few sentences. When George said that the sunlight looked a little too ‘real’ there was more foreshadowing.
