It is also mentioned in 1 Corinthians 15. Many people didn’t like Jesus because they didn’t understand his reasoning to help mankind and they thought that Jesus was a curse to all mankind and it was also stated that he committed crimes against Rome. Many that do believe in Christ know that his death provided salvation for everyone. The death of Jesus was predicted in the Old Testament. The son of God knew what had to be done to save mankind from their sins. The Romans crucified Jesus and he knew this was going to happen to him. They nail his hands and feet to a cross, and placed crown of thorns on his head. Jesus and other men who were considered thieves were nailed on crosses to die in front of the Roman people. To make sure Jesus was dead the soldiers thrust their spear into his heart sac, normally to make sure that people were dead they would break their legs. They took Jesus body down and wrapped it in strips of linen and buried him in a tomb. There were women who came to grieve and anoint the body of Jesus the day after the Sabbath. There were guards who guarded the tomb because the Romans thought that the disciples might come to steal the body. There was also a stone placed in front of the tomb to stop them also. There was an angel sent down from the heavens and a small earthquake happened which moved the stone that sealed the tomb, and the angel spooked the soldiers off.
