The life of Theodore Bilbo and all of his trials and tribulations. He was a very controversial political figure who some liked and others did not. Throughout his life, his education was all over the place. Bilbo was accused of many different things, he was really big in politics, and he also had a legacy of hate towards the African Americans.

Theodore Bilbo was a man of education. He went to four different colleges including Peabody College, Vanderbilt University, University of Michigan Law, and University of Michigan. Bilbo received a scholarship to go to Nashville and study at Peabody College for Baptist Ministry, but he later switched to Vanderbilt University to practice law, but he did not graduate from either. Bilbo made his living as a high school teacher for five years before he went to help run an all girls boarding school in Wiggins, MS. Bilbo was apparently accused of being a little too friendly with one of the students. He left the school after the accusation and went back to Vanderbilt to practice law (Tristam Pierre).

On one occasion he tried to amend one Roosevelt spending bill to relocate African-Americans to Liberia (Hill) . He ranked high on the charts of being one of the most openly racists and violence loving Americans. He was accused of being a member of the Ku Klux Klan and he did not deny it. He claimed he had not taken part in any of the meetings since his inauguration. During one of his live radio interviews he said “The best time to keep Negreo’s away from a white primary in Mississippi was to see him the night before." Bilbo would become known for all of his vile remarks of the different race. His overwhelming hatred has overshadowed his support for others that are less fortunate in the society.
