One of the most important documents ever written and one that has a lot of meaning to United States as way of dissolving our ties with the British. The Declaration opens with a preamble that essentially explains the importance behind it and why the United States no longer needs a ruler. Following the preamble, the declaration continues on with one of the most memorable lines in the history of the United States, one that has true lasting values and really exposes how Jefferson feels about the new young country. Claiming that all men are created equal and explaining that every person is endowed with unalienable rights, including life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
