There are many differences and similarities between Greta Thunberg and Chris McCandless. One of the main similarities is their value in nature and its importance. Chris McCandless is a transcendentalist meaning they believe all good things in life come from humanity and nature. Throughout the book Into The Wild, we deeply dive into Chris’s journey of finding his true self through nature, which he does through the Alaskan frontier. In the book Chris states “The fundamental core of a man's living spirit is his passion for adventure.”(Krakauer, pg 58) This quote ultimately explains that one's soul is based on its connection to nature.
