Thyroid disorders may be an important cause of health problems in men. The main types of thyroid in men who that is responsible for Hyperthyroidism is hyperactive thyroid gland, as well as a lower (underactive) thyroid gland can also cause hypothyroidism. The thyroid gland controls the body's metabolism. Therefore, problems with the thyroid gland can increase or decrease a person’s metabolism, causing various symptoms resembling thyroid. The level of thyroid hormone fluctuates massively due to improper functioning of body’s immune system; finally resulting in hyperthyroidism. This problem makes the patient's regular lifestyle unbalanced.

Other side effects include negative mood shifts and trouble making concentration. A person suffering from hyperthyroidism fail to produce the amount of energy required for his daily physical activities; resulting in constant tiredness or fatigue. Some men with hyperthyroidism also suffer from memory problems or intensified episodes of depression

Weight and diet change
Hyperthyroidism significantly increases metabolism causing increased appetite among men suffering from thyroid disorders and they seem to eat more than usual. Still they lose weight even after eating more food. The frequency of bowel movements (passing stool) may increase causing diarrhea and it can be repeated. On the other hand, the decline in metabolism among these men curbs their hunger and their weight starts to grow despite of their low diet. That slows the activity of intestinal constipation.

Sensitivity to temperature change
