Tiao has another important scene that shows him trying his best. This scene the camera men are talking to Tiao outside of his house. Tiao explains there is nothing wrong with his life, but right after stating this he says God would punish him if he complained, which shows that he does want to complain but cannot. (Walker 1:05:32) Taio then talks about the peace between the favelas at the moment, and then nonchalantly talks about the people that would be thrown into the wasteland during times when the favelas were at war.(Walker 1:04:36) This shows his wavering in doing the right thing. He feels powerless when it comes to those types of situations, but he does not linger on this statement. Tiao is very strong willed but somewhere got it in his
