This is the story of a dinner party.
However, this is not an average dinner party as one might imagine. No, what sets this party apart from the rest of the traditional sort is the extraordinary fact that four influential thinkers are in attendance. A time machine is hidden mysteriously in the corner, buttons flashing brilliantly to signal their arrival. The door opens and the first guest takes a tentative step out. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth I enters the room. She walks up to me, and curtsies gracefully. With eloquent speech, she greets me, “Good lady, within this wall of flesh, there is a soul of mirth that counts thee its creditor for inviting me to thy party. I am eager to discuss the matters of which thou hast summoned me”. I curtsy back in respect to her excellency as a British monarch. Then she walks to the table. The other three guests come out in quick succession. Adolf Hitler in a formal black suit, political activist Angela Davis with her voluminous afro, and right out of To Kill a Mockingbird was the wise Atticus Finch. One by one, the valued guests come to greet me and take their seats. Over the meal, the real discussion commences. I first inform them on the current issue in the United States today.
