CHAPTER ONE: And That's That!
We all held our breath. We were scared that we would miss the relieving sound; though it was designed to ring through the whole building, it made such a miniscule noise that we had to strain our ears very hard to hear it; which was exactly what we were all doing that minute (we needed complete silence so she couldn't complain that she couldn't hear it and keep us in for an extra 30 minutes 'just for good measure').

He was probably just eating chocolates while watching funny cat videos on YouTube. I really doubt he ever did any work except being nice to the government inspectors who visited, walking to and from the canteen and writing lousy, singular sentences in our yearly reports, always forgetting capital letters and spelling 99% of the words incorrectly, encouraging more and more people to steer clear of our school.
But here was the time, the moment all of us waited for and we still waited.The teachers only had a few more moments of pleasure tormenting us before they needed to wait another six weeks before they could antagonise a fresh batch of innocent children like myself. If you think your teacher is bad, come to my school and meet my teacher, a teacher that hands out triple-detentions for breathing too loudly, for enjoying our work, for smiling during lessons and coughing for more than 1.5 seconds in a row. The scary thing was, she actually was able to work out exactly how many milliseconds we took!
