In a few days we have went from being in our hive unknown to anyone or anything, to the most feared thing in this jungle! I continue to munch on the leaves as my colony waits for the scout to return. Finishing off my meal we regroup as the scout, Bob tells about his finding. "A few miles away there is a plantation full of food for us." he reports to our leader, Kai. "Good, if we start now we will be able to make it there by nightfall, rest and start in the morning." A small cheer echoes from our colony. Looking around I see few cheering and some like myself mouth watering imaging all the food we will soon have.
Getting information we march along the way I see other ants grab a leaf or two and eat it. Being stationed it the back is a bit boring, but it had its upsides too. Like having a clear path to walk Pickard 2 on and knowing what problems were up ahead. As we continue to march it grows cooler and cooler and night time approaches. Finally the sun sets and the moon and stars make their way onto the blackened sky.
