The book was written from an adult Scout’s point of view which allowed us to understand her thoughts and how she saw Maycomb County during Tom Robinson's as a young girl. While the movie whole movie wasn't from Scout's point of view like the book she did narrate a lot of it so we could still understand some of her thoughts. Also, there are some advantages to not having the entire movie through Scout's eyes, such as being able to see scenes that Scout was not present for, like when Atticus and Jem went to see helen Robinson after Tom died.
The book and movie adaptations of To Kill A Mockingbird are well done, interesting and highlight many important problems in our society. But, in terms of differences the amount of racism was changed drastically and Aunt Alexandra and Finch’s Landing were taken out completely.
