The poem is stating that the young women that had not been married should go out and find a man while their still young. It clearly states that the longer they wait; time will run out for them. The poet shows that the poem has imagery, and symbolism throughout his piece of work. The poem has metaphor, by using words in the lines of the poem. “That age is best which is the first; / When youth and blood are warmer”, (9-10).
