Black man accused of raping a white woman found guilty
Tom Robinson, a black man , 25 years old is found guilty of raping Mayella Ewell, a 19 year old woman in her house. The woman testified she was hit the back of her body and the sheriff saw that she had bruises around her neck and she had a black eye on her right eye. Tom Robinson’s defense lawyer, Atticus Finch asks the sheriff if they called an ambulance, but the sheriff said it wasn’t necessary. When it was Tom Robinson’s turn to testify, he revealed that his left arm was unmovable because all his muscles were torn out when he a young boy.
