The cartoon “Today’s Dr. Frankenstein…”, illustrated by David Horsey and published on SeattlePi.com, depicts an atrocious looking man conducting what appears to be an experiment on a young boy. Horsey means for this to symbolize big video game corporations poisoning the minds of today’s youth to maximize on profits; however, he does not achieve his point effectively. The artist portrays the video game industry, itself, to be at fault for the increased violence of today’s youth, when, in reality, the blame falls upon the lack of supervision performed by parental units nation-wide. While some of the most popular video games tend to contain mature material, young people cannot physically buy said games without someone who is 17 years of age
