Good writing is considered an art and good writers are the artist. These artist do not have the strongest vocabulary and strongest evidence, instead the most creativity. To be an exceptional writer, it is necessary that you use voice, visual, and are clear. When writers state their viewpoint, are conversational, and simply explain their reasoning it creates a well written paper that the reader will enjoy from beginning to end. An example of a writer who does all of these is Benjamin Shull. In Shull’s article, Tolstoy’s Classic Are Still Fresh a Century and a Half Later he stated his position, took risks, and was clear.
Shull’s article talked about how Henry James called Tolstoy’s works, War and Peace and Anna Karenina a, “loose baggy monster.”
