After four years of college and a bachelor’s in journalism, I was expecting at least somewhat of an exciting work-life. Every morning, I used to wake up to the same alarm, the same routine. Right before I left my apartment, I would hope for something to break the cycle. Of course, I had thought that today was going to be the same mundane work day like any other, but today was different.
Anjery Inc. is a company run by Tom Anjery. Who is Tom Anjery exactly? Entrepreneur, millionaire, money-making genius. Him and his brother, Mark Anjery, inherited this company from their father. Their company has a broad range of products, from furniture, electronics, and they’ve even sponsored some movies. Now the Anjery brand is famous across the country. That must’ve been the big case everyone was talking about.
“Rozanne… Rozanne Weller.” I murmured her name to myself, trying to remember whose name it was.
It took me a minute, but then I remembered. Rozanne works on the other side of the office. From what I can tell, she’s a very spirited and happy-go-lucky woman. Every time I see her around the office, she always has a smile on her face. I didn’t particularly know her that well or anything, but I had seen her around and exchanged a “good morning” once.
I continued to work on my assignment, unfazed by the announcement. Of course, I didn’t expect to get the case or anything, but it definitely would’ve been a change in my daily routine to get that assignment. I leaned back in my chair to stretch, relieved that the anxious aura of the office had disappeared. Now that everyone knew who got the case, things started to return to normal. Just as I had stopped stretching, I heard the PA system turn on again.
