In the novel The Adventures Of Tom Sawyer in the chapters twenty four and twenty five, Tom and Huck express their fear for Injun Joe. He climbed out the window in the courtroom to escape being prosecuted for the murder of Dr. Robinson. Tom was the hero once more after he testified and was being honored for his bravery of speaking out. His days were splendid but at night Injun Joe infested his dreams.
