The person that I chose to use was Tom Tardy. Tom is happy to be in the paralegal program but unfortunately his attendance doesn’t reflect his excitement to be in the program. He has been frequently late and as of week seven he has been late 80% of the time.
Two principles that Mr. Tardy has been broken according to the Student Conduct Policy & Procedure documents would 4.2.5. which states "Demonstrate personal integrity, professionalism and accountability at all times". Also another one would be 4.2.3. which states "Respect the rights of other members of the campus community, including students, staff, faculty and visitors to Durham College. Maintain a respectful learning environment."…show more content… Tardy’s frequent lateness he has broken a couple of the Rules of Conduct for Paralegals. They would include Rule 2 under professionalism 2.01 Integrity and civility. Rule (2) “A paralegal has a duty to uphold the standards and reputation of the paralegal profession and to assist in the advancement of its goals, organizations and institutions.” Another conduct broken would be 3.01 (1) A paralegal shall perform any service undertaken on a client’s behalf to the standard of a competent paralegal. One last conduct broken would be 3.02 Advising clients Quality of service. Which states "A paralegal has a duty to provide courteous, thorough and prompt service to clients.
