Tom Wolfe
With numerous best-sellers, an interesting personal life, and positive critical reception, Tom Wolfe is one of America’s most popular authors. Wolfe, born March 2, 1930 in Richmond, Virginia, had ten notable new journalism works. Wolfe had a medal for distinguished contribution to american letters in 2010. He is also famous for short books on a dull topic further complicated. Wolfe started out in the newspaper publishing business then later seen it as an inspiration for writing his first non-fictional novel, The Kandy Kolored Tangerine-Flake Streamline Baby. Wolfe has spent a good deal of his life studying new journalism as a learning and teaching tool.
Thomas Kennerly Wolfe Jr. was born and raised into a middle class family, both parent placed a high value on education and encouraged him to pursue his early literary interests. After college wolfe plunged into newspaper reporting. At this point, he began transitioning from a reporter to a social commentator. In 1980 following a decade of research on the American space program, publishes The Right Stuff and won the american book award. The first book Wolfe had wrote, The Kandy Kolored Tangerine-Flake Streamline Baby, is a novel based off of essays and the story behind his essay writing. Another novel, In Our Time, is full of drawings from the Harper’s Magazine with many others. Some of Wolfe’s work has been reviewed in the rolling stoned magazine. He also wrote a book called The New Journalism, written to inform the readers of his new found profession.
