One of the similarities in both books is: they try to escape. Even though there are more similarities I picked this one because I can give lots of info on it.Tsb is about a boy named Cole who is abused by his father and that causes him to lash out or get angry at other people. Because of this he beat up a kid and gets sent to a remote Alaskan island where he escapes.Cole set everything one fire then tried to swim to different islands to get back home or to run away.Devil’s Arithmetic is about a young girl who teleported to the past of the holocaust. Touching spirit bear is taking place on an island which is where the setting is mainly when you read the book. another difference includes conflict.Cole is mainly from Minneapolis that's where he lives with his mom and dad.Devil’s Arithmetic takes place in the Holocaust mainly because they get relocated to a concentration camp.Hannah chaya shone is from the present and she lives with her mom, dad, and little brother in New Rochelle.More differences include the timeline, their conflict, settings and lots more but that's just the basics. The two novels have more similarities than differences so it was hard trying to get the best differences
