The definitions, as well as, the summary on the inner sleeve lead the reader desiring more. Many books written by the well-known author, James Patterson, whom is known for filling his short chapters with important plot and character describing details, to help entertain the reader and keep the reader's involvement. James Patterson's earlier literary works, such as, 1st to Die, When the Wind Blows, and Roses are Red, also number one best sellers of their times, are gross exemplars of his entertaining writing style. While, reading his book Toys, published in 2011 a reader will notice the various in his composition style, because of the influences of his co-author, Neil McMahon. Dramatic Irony, may reach the novel seem repetitive, but the striking irony is one reason this novel is a serious model of contemporaneous literature. Another type of irony, in the novel, situational irony, sums up the hard to catch, meaning of this novel. Much like the Native American people, condemned to genocide, by the American people, the Elite's, have slaughtered humans to the level of risk of extinction, and have cast out the remainder of the humans to the harsh world. The entire conspiracy, much like the events that took place in the United States past, is concealed from the Elites that were not part of the government conspiracy, of 2061. This story line, leaves the reader able to decide logically, what will or should happen, and lets the story appear more
