The world of trade and barter makes me feel like a kid in a candy store, and not just any
Candy store, but one of the Willy Wonka anything you can dream is possible kind of candy store!

Almost anything you can envision is available in the trade/barter world somewhere!
I become “Pam the Trade Detective” and the word is JOY, I experience a lot of joy when I can help someone who is a member of a trade/barter exchange. I love to listen to what they need from us and I go on a mission to find this sometimes, well, a lot of times elusive thing that a member is looking for. The most memorable so far has been an upright piano for a member’s Dad to play who was coming all the way from Vietnam to see his first grandchild. …show more content…
Our GM was retiring to sail the caribbean with her husband. I did everything, and I mean everything on trade for that going away party. I was hooked! And you know what’s even better than that, getting someone else hooked! It’s a win/win for everyone!

Trade is the original form of currency, once someone realizes how much of their hard earned money can stay in their pockets they continue to spend so much that a lot of them play around that perfect line of being negative after being a little bit positive, and asking for promotions to get more trade.This is music to my ears every time! They just can’t get enough trade because their repetitive spending is taking everything that is coming in the door. They want to keep all of that advertising, accounting, pressure washing, house cleaning, good food cooking stuff that they’ve now gotten used to, well addicted to in some cases. I’ve witnessed over and over again the use of trade to rebuild, and restore properties. This is a great advantage that Barter members have over their competition. This exchange is part of the bedrock of so many small business owners living here in the New Orleans Metro area.

I have built relationships with our members that I treasure and consider part of our whole trade family. The benefits of trade are endless for a small business owner to leverage using the trade and keeping a lot more of their cash for whatever their trade needs
