Introduction Does the Home Healthcare Agency have an effective training plan? A review of the previous steps; outline the home healthcare organization’s plan to implement a training program that will be effective and align with the goals of the organization. The organization acknowledged a Training Needs Analysis must be performed, prior to creating a training program. A TNA is the first step in establishing the need for training and which employees would benefit most from the program. This step is crucial in identifying any performance gaps that may exist and/or any constraints that may prohibit future growth. In conjunction, a Training Needs Analysis will assist in determining whether the organization should develop a proactive or reactive training program. The analysis should focus on identifying why performance gaps exist. For instance, performance gaps and client dissatisfaction with health care provided; could be attributed to lack of training. Blanchard and Thacker share, that training should align with the organization’s strategic goals, mission and vision to be effective (2013). In sequential order of the Training Process Model, the design phase is next in launching an effective training program. Senior level care providers (RN’s LPN’s) will be evaluated by Certified Medical Trainers to ensure existing KSA’s are strengthened. Senior level care providers will also be monitored to ensure they are enforcing and utilizing standard medical practices.
