The transformers series as it is known today began in 1984. With influences from both japanese and american culture there have been many versions of these robots in disguise. Comics, tv shows, and movies are all a part of the vast array of characters at the series disposal. This essay however, will be primarily focused upon the Transformers prime series and the characters therein. This essay hopes to shed light on theology which can be hidden in many forms of media. Since the show is primarily american a great deal of american symbols will likely be found as symbolism and hidden meanings are used extensively within this series.

These were smaller versions of another one his toy lines the Henshin Cyborgs. The Henshin cyborgs were based upon the american G.I Joe action figures, created by Hasbro. The microman toy line was what inspired Hasbro to make the Transformers. This results in a mismatch of viewpoints. However, ultimately the result was a more american outlook as time progressed since the series continued to develop under Hasbro an american company. Transformers prime is one of the later instalments into the series and as a result will have been steeped in american ideals.

Since the show Transformers prime is a mostly american show it is easy to see symbolism from the bible within the characters on either side. The most obvious example of this would be through the main character Optimus Prime. He is the typical hero figure tasked with saving two worlds from ultimate ruination.
