It is generally either right behind the oil dipstick or right next to it. These two dipsticks are usually in close proximity to one another. The transmission fluid should be labeled as such.
Check The Level
Fourth, you need to check the level of your transmission fluid. Pull out the dip stick and wipe it off with a cloth or napkin. Look for the line on the bottom of the dip stick that says full and empty. Then, stick the dip stick all the way back into the transmission fluid and pull it out again.
This time, look closely at the dip stick and see where the liquid stops. This should tell you if the level of fluid is fine or if you need more transmission fluid. On some vehicles, you can also see a line on the container that holds the transmission fluid without using the dip stick that will tell you if additional fluid is needed.
If your vehicle needs fluid, use a funnel to pour in additional transmission fluid until it reaches the fill line or take it your mechanic for a refill.
