Some beginning results of TBIs are concussions. Concussions can be caused by a blow to the head, falling, or external mechanical force causing brain dysfunction. Some of the most common immediate effects may include: loss of consciousness, headache, nausea, and fatigue. When dealing with brain injuries looking for immediate effects can help prevent long term effects.(“About Traumatic Brain Injury”) If immediate effects are not properly treated they can develop into long term effects which can affect someone for the rest of their life.
