For preparing the food involved the whole tribe. Everyone helped to prepare the food for the tribe, the mothers, fathers, grandmothers, and grandfathers. They had a wide variety of food to choose from, they had corn, beans, and squash, corn could make soups, bread, and puddings. During the activity, they cooked it in clay pots over a fire or they place the food in leaves over hot pile of ashes. What is done during this is that they collected the food they had prepared. They had their pumpkin and squash hanging and some of their meat in the ground that the women dug to dry the meat, or they had to get more corn from fields or fish. They did all this in the tribe villages. They do it right from their home. Their home is where they cooked for tribe and did more actives. The activity is done when the families have eaten and are full. They do not let the food to waste. Even when they get guests to the village, they give them all that they can eat. The feed them what they have left. They were just like us, this was done because they cannot go without being fed. The plants and herbs would help cure sickness, injuries, and hurts like burns and so on. But when it comes to serious physical issues, they would use a different method. Nentpikes and Herbalists. They cured more on the diseases side. The meteinu or medew used plants, herbs, bark and root to the “little” incidents. The elders of the tribes would teach the methods to the younger ones. They believed that each plant had a need for each part of the human body. They treated each other in loving care. They started their training for medical practice in dreams or visions. They would teach rituals for them to get better or give them medical attention with plants or herbs. They would also pray for the sick ones. A ceremony would be done for the plants to give to the sick or
