“Im strong minded to become the best surgeon I know I can be.”, that's what I tell myself each time things get tough in life. I was not raised with a silver spoon in my mouth, I had to work for what I want in order to receive it. For as long as I a remember I’ve known what I wanted to do with my life. Before joining TRiO I was a shy, introverted person when it came to talking to people. I first joined TRiO during my sophomore year in high school, which was the best thing that could have happened to me. I graduated early from high school because I knew it would be a long road of schooling ahead of me. It took a great amount of work to do so. TRiO helped me with my goal of graduating early, they helped my dream become a reality. TRiO’s resources helped me accomplish my goal TRiO’s main purpose is to influence students to go forward with their education and go to college that's what it did for me. I am the oldest and only girl out of three. When you are the oldest and only girl there is more pressure on you. Many expect me to obtain perfect grades, avoid missing school, and be this perfect role model. But the truth is even I sometime make mistakes. I already have the moral support of my family and friends, but that isn’t enough to where my tuition is going to get paid. I want my education to pay off to where I know those late sleepless nights doing homework and studying for an exam would finally pay off.
