I believe that my son, Trixter, is just like any other normal kids and his qualities consistent with the cognitive and affective milestones of an 8-10-year-old child show his strengths according to the Theory of Mind. At age 9 years, my son demonstrates higher order ToM who understands strategies to hide and/or detect deceit and figurative language and shows secondary inter-subjectivity who recognizes emotions, sarcasm and social faux pas and uses and manipulates emotions like hiding emotions and using facial expressions to mislead. I believe that my son has successfully achieved his cognitive and affective milestones at age 9 years because of constant parental monitoring of his academic and behavioral growths.
