-What is the purpose/mission of the organization? The ACTE is committed to enhancing the job performance and satisfaction of its members; to increasing public awareness and appreciation for career and technical programs; and to assuring growth in local, state and federal funding for these programs by communicating and working with legislators and government leaders.
-What benefits are afforded to members for joining? The ACTE will help its members to become successful in today's marketplace, business and industry must be profitable and have a workforce equipped with a full range of job and career skills.
-How much are professional membership dues? Student membership dues? The professional dues are $80 and the students dues are free
-When is the next annual meeting held? And where? The nest annual meeting will be held on July 10-13, 2013 at the Renaissance Waverly Hotel and Cobb Galleria Centre Atlanta Ga.
-What resources are available on-line for members and nonmembers? The ACTE provide newsletters, lesson plans library, information about professional development, e-media tools, information about building relationships on policymakers, social media, information on current national leaders, and leadership programs.
Kappa Omicron Nu
-What is the purpose/mission of the organization? The Kappa Omicron Nu mission is to empower family and consumer sciences leaders through scholarship, research, and leadership development.
-What benefits are afforded to members for joining? By joining Kappa Omicron Nu the members will have the opportunity for training, showcasing work through publication and presentations.
-How much are professional membership dues? Student membership dues? The professional dues are $125; and the students dues are $62 plus chapter dues.
-When is the next annual meeting held? And where? The Kappa next annual meeting is Jun 27-July 1, 2013 at the Sheraton Boston Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts.

-What is the purpose/mission of the organization? To provide leadership and support for professionals whose work assists individuals, families, and communities in making informed decisions about their well- being, relationships, and resources to achieve optimal quality of life.
-What benefits are afforded to members for joining? The AAFCS provide its members with guidance and practical knowledge about the thing-s in everyday life, including human growth and development, personal behavior, housing and environment, housing and environment, food and nutrition, apparel and textiles, and resource management. The members also receive discounts on publication and products, conference, insurance plans, and several other things.
