Reflect on what you learned about yourself from True Colors and Myers-Briggs assessments. Answer these questions completely.
1) How do your strengths and your personality type fit together to make you unique?
The personality type that I was classified under for the Myers-Briggs was ISTJ, which stands for, introvert, sensing, thinking, and judging. All of the characteristics listed above describe me because I am an introvert. I like it when the extroverts take all of the attention. I am sensing because if something does not seem to be right, I do not proceed with the task. I do not always say a lot, but when I do I make sure I have thought it well out before I say it. I can be judgmental at times. It is something I have to do to protect myself from possible harm. If something does not look right, even though I have not tried it, I do not attempt it. In the True colors assessment, my personality reflected as gold which stood for “duty”. When taking theses assessments, it was astounding to read the descriptions because a lot of it applied to me. My personality type makes me unique because I do not just fit under one category but a multiple of categories which included the color green for “solving problems”.
2) How can you use these strengths to achieve academic success? …show more content…
I am organized which will help me stay on top of my assignments and help me to not procrastinate. Being prepared is something that I try to be good at. I like to have things done days before they are due so that I can save future extra time to do assignments that might be brought up by instructors at random times throughout the semester. Because I am an introvert and prefer to be around people who are careful with their money and like to make plans ahead of time, I will be able to relief some stress off by not having to worry about financial needs or having to do things last
