Summary: Buggy destroys Luffy’s straw hat and audience learns of Buggy’s connection to the great pirate Shanks.
In this episode the first scene is shown from an angle from above. It’s similar to a bird’s pint of view. I also heard some chirping sound when this scene starts. Therefore, I assume the scene could be shown from the perspective of a bird. The scene also clear distinguishes all the characters that down/defeated and shows that only Luffy and Buggy are left standing. Usopp is characterized as a coward but caring person, who wants to achieve his dream but is too scare to actually pursue it. I feel that this makes Usopp’s character the most realistic character because all his emotion, such as being scare of death and being weak very real and relatable to a normal human being. Furthermore, another sound that this episode has is the sound of wind blowing through the leaves, it creates a nostalgic kind of feeling. The sounds of little actions also seems to be exaggerated as well. For example, when Kaya was eating the sound of the fork tapping the plate was heard very
