Overall, the movie Tuesdays with Morrie was the topic from the Coping with Loss Unit that had the greatest impact on me. This is because it allowed for me to see how others go through the 5 stages of loss, but show these stages differently depending on the person. Throughout the movie, both Mitch and Morrie demonstrated the 5 stages of loss, but indicated these stages through various actions and over diverse times throughout the movie. All throughout the movie, Morrie displayed the 5 stages of loss. In the beginning of the movie, Morrie demonstrated denial when he decided to drive his car, even though he felt a tingling sensation in his feet. This shows denial because he was denying the fact that he should not be driving and that something was wrong. Another stage of loss that Morrie experienced in the movie was anger. Morrie felt anger towards his father when he was saying because he was upset over how he had treated Morrie as a child. He was also mad at his father because he was afraid of love and did not allow Morrie to ever talk about his mother who had died. Morrie was angry at himself because he had not forgiven his father while he was still alive. This led to Morrie experiencing the 3rd stage of loss, bargaining.
