Knowledge cannot exist without humans. Knowledge needs a brain to exist because to get knowledge, some form of cognitive ability is needed. Humans have cognitive ability; they have a brain, which is why and how knowledge "contains" humans. Power, on the other hand does not require cognitive ability. It is a concept that can be given to any physical, material or psychological thing. Having the ability to influence or affect something is essentially having power, and anything can have such ability, therefore giving it power. In both “Twice, at Once, Separated"1 and Dawn2, power and knowledge are evident.
In “Twice, at Once, Separated”, Xotama’s dreams have power. They influence her behavior.
